Pictures of Our Readers' Rides

From east coast to west coast, here are snap shots of ESM's readers' rides!

ESM readers' rides!

If you just can't stand it and want to give your method of transportation a little attention, you can submit at least three color quality photos of your ride, that are in focus and well lit, to ESM and we will gladly post it in the next issue. Please shoot and send photos of your auto ONLY (no people, pets, Polaroids, or printouts). It is important that you include a detailed description of the mods that have been performed on your ride, including any interesting stories you may have. Contact ESM for more information, otherwise send your photos to: Elite Streets Magazine, Readers Rides', P.O. Box 1415, Hendersonville, TN 37077-1415.

(NOTE: Due to the high volume of mail that we receive, we are unable to return photographs.)

This Classic 1956 Chevy Bel Aire is owned by Jerry Alderson of Hendersonville, TN. Jerry's Chevy consists of classic two-tone candy apple red and white paint along with plenty of the vintage chrome pieces as accents. The interrior of this classic bowtie has been covered in a gray tweed. Under the hood, the 283ci Chevy powerplant has been covered from mounting bracket to hood in chrome! We believe it is safe to assume you won't see this Chevy rolling down the road, unless it is on the back of a trailer.

Every once in a while someone sends in their pictures, but forgets to tell us about their ride, as in this case. ESM, unfortunately, does not have the resources to track down information about our readers' rides section since a lot of our time is usually tied up in just getting information on our feature rides! The only information that we have on this ride is that the owner is Kenneth Parkmand of Magnolia, TX and the name of his truck is "Found On Road Dead". Apparently Kenneth takes pride in showing off his slick blue oval (the Ranger type) at auto shows. We especially took a great interest in the bed which has a custom fabrication of "death" popping through the floor of the bed which has been covered in some sort of spray in bedliner. Kenneth has a nice set of custom rims, a lowered stance, custom taillights, and the flames on the body give his blue oval hauler a hot rod appeal. We also like the matching mini-chopper that seems to be getting tamed by one of the "Found On Road Dead" crew members. By the way, Kenneth, does your friend on the chopper have a license or should we run like hell when we see him cruisin' down the street?

This 1994 Toyota Supra comes to us straight from the "Land of Lincoln"... Peoria, Illinois. The owner of this super sleek import, Jeff Tilly, says that this car can pull a quarter mile in the low eights on a bad day and the high sixes on a good day. We say congrats to Jeff for owning what most of us don't... a faster than hell sports car. Jeff sent us a laundry list of mods that have been achieved to this car inside and out, which include: Whiffen Front Lip, Stillen Side Skirts, Trial Rear bumper with diffuser, Clear turn signals, Smoked side marker lights, Window Tint, Custom Bright Red Paint, Volk GTN wheels (gunmetal w/polished lip) 18x9 front; 18x10 rear, Bridgestone S03 245 series front; 275 series rear, G2 Red Caliper Paint, Goodridge Stainless steel Brake Lines, SPI Boostgauge, Greddy Turbo Timer, HKS AFR, Phillip Long 2-step rev limiter, Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, KYB 4-way Adjustable Shock, Rear Cusco Strut Bar, TRD Front Strut Bar, BD Short Shifter, RPS Clutch, Greddy BL exhaust, Scott Performance Downpipe, ADFX Intercooler with complete hardpipe kit, Greddy BCC, HKS Cam Gear, PWR Radiator with Upper and Lower hardpipes. Custom Turbo Kit was installed and consists of: Turbonetics Cast Iron Manifold, Precision Turbo .58 A/R Turbo, Innovative 42mm External Wastegate, Midpipe with O2 bung, Wastegate adapter and dump tube, HKS SSBOV, and a Turbonetics Manual Boost Controller. Jeff also mentioned that this car was dyno tuned to 480 rwhp at 17psi. Jeff plans to install a stand alone fuel system that will increase the ponies to 550 hp at the rear wheels. So, anyone wanna race?
